Designing your yearbook just got faster. The Autofill Theme feature allows you to instantly apply a coordinated design style across your pages in just a few clicks.

This tool automatically places backgrounds, layouts, fonts, and graphic elements so you can focus on adding your content instead of building each page from scratch.

*Important Note: You cannot customize the order the templates are applied in. If you would like to customize the order, you can individually place the templates on the pages. Please watch the video here for more.

Before You Start

Before auto applying a theme, make sure:

  • Save any pages as templates that you have already designed and would like to keep. You will need to replace them after applying the theme.

For best results, auto apply your theme before flowing photos or adding large amounts of content.

How to Autofill a Theme

Step 1: Open the Themes Panel

Navigate to the Themes section inside the Designer.

Step 2: Select Your Theme

To select your theme, click Expand View to open the application menu

Browse and select the theme you want to use by clicking on the theme names on the left . You can preview layout styles and design elements before applying.

Step 3: Click “Autofill Book”

Once you have your theme selected, click the Autofill Book button.

Next, select where to install your book. Update will place the templates on top of any previous work and replace will clear all previous work and replace it with the new theme templates. We recommend choosing Replace as long as you have saved any previous work as templates

Confirm your choice by selecting yes

Finally, select yes to acknowledge you are deleting any previous content placed on the pages

EDONext will apply the theme’s layouts and styling across eligible pages. Book builders are typically between 40-60 pages. You can track the progress with the pop up messages on the bottom right

Step 4: Review Your Pages

After applying, flip through your pages and select save on each one to review:

  • Layout placement
  • Background consistency
  • Font styling
  • Graphic positioning

Your pages will now have a cohesive design foundation.
