Recommended Photo Resolution for Best Print Quality
To ensure your yearbook prints in the highest quality, all photos should be uploaded at a resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch) or higher.
Why 300 DPI?
A 300 DPI resolution ensures your images print crisp, clear, and sharp, without appearing blurry or pixelated. Lower-resolution images may look fine on screens but can lose detail and appear grainy when printed.
Tips for Best Results
✅ Use original, high-quality photos from cameras or phones — not screenshots or web downloads.
🚫 Avoid images from social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), as they are often compressed and below print standards.
🔍 Check image quality before uploading to make sure each file meets the 300 DPI requirement.
How to Check DPI in the Designer
You can easily check your photo’s DPI directly in the Designer:
Select the photo you want to check.
Go to Advanced Photo Settings (located in the lower right corner).
The DPI value will be displayed there.
If it’s above 300 DPI, your image is good for printing.
If it’s below 300 DPI, consider replacing it with a higher-resolution version.
