How to Flow Teachers with Students on Your People Pages

Before you get started, there’s one important thing to know: people can only be flowed onto one page. If you’re creating a separate staff page and want the teacher to appear on student pages as well, you’ll need to manually place those photos on the additional pages.

To make sure teachers appear on their class pages, you’ll first need to update their department in Manage People Data:

Go to Manage > Manage People Data.

Filter for Staff or Teachers.

Click on the teacher’s photo.

Change their department to Faculty.

Once that’s done, the teacher will be able to flow right along with their students on the people pages—easy and organized! 😊

Finding a Template with a Teacher Spot

Ready to give your teachers the spotlight? 🌟 Your next step is to choose a template that includes a dedicated teacher section.

Head to the People tab at the top and click Make People Pages. Once you’re there, select Step 2: Templates.

To make things easy, use the Teacher filter to choose how many teachers you want featured on each page from the drop-down menu. This will narrow your options to templates that fit your class perfectly—quick, simple, and stress-free!

Once you’ve chosen a template with the right number of student boxes and a teacher spot, click on the template to see a preview appear on the right. Take a moment to make sure it’s the perfect fit for your page.

When you’re ready, simply click Build on Left, Build on Right, or Build on Both Pages to add it to your full spread. Easy, breezy, and you’re one step closer to a great-looking layout

A Few More Tips for Flowing Teachers with Students

Make sure each teacher’s data includes the class or grade they should be associated with. This helps ensure they’re placed with the correct group of students.

When you select the class to flow, the teacher should automatically appear in the teacher section at the top, right above the student photos, during the flow step.

The last steps are to flow left, or flow right page.
