Can I use more than just the available fonts? – Accessing Custom Fonts
You may decide there is a specific font you would like to use outside of our available fonts. If you would like to utilize a different font, you’ll first want to download the .ttf file of the font from the website where you have found the font. There are many free websites, like 1001 free fonts, or google fonts.
It costs 3 design points per custom font that you would like to add. Currently, we also have a limit to three custom fonts per account.
Once you’ve downloaded the .ttf file, contact your Account Manager by email with the font file. They will create a custom template for you that will include the font, and notify you when it is ready.
To access this template, first go to the Template button in the left toolbar of the designer.
Then, click the My Templates & Pages button at the top.
There will be a custom template added to this category gallery titled with the name of your font. It may be the last template listed.
Select the template and place it on your page, and you will see a text box appear with the alphabet in your custom font. You can either delete this text box or type in it. Once you save the page, the font will be saved in your available fonts menu for that page. You will need to place the font template on every page of your yearbook you would like to use that font.
If you do not see your custom font in this menu after you save the page, then you will have to access the font from the text settings menu on the right hand side of the page. First, highlight the font in the text box, then click on the Text Settings tab on the right hand side of the page to pull out these advanced settings. Then select Character Settings from the available sub-categories of this menu.
The first option in this menu should be Font. Select the drop down arrow next to the current font style that appears in the box, and you should be able to find your custom font that is newly saved to the page.
