  • Before opening

Count all cartons/pallets and compare with the carrier’s delivery slip.

Take quick photos of the shipment (labels, any visible damage).

  • Inventory the order

Open boxes and count total books.

Match the count to your packing slip/PO.

  • Spot-check quality

Pull samples from multiple boxes and check:

Cover (title, year, school name, finish/foil, personalization).

Inside pages (colors, page order, trims, alignment).

Binding/lamination (no peeling, dents, or loose pages).

  • Document any issues

Set aside affected copies; keep original packaging.

Take clear photos/videos and note box numbers and page references.

  • Verify special items

If you have personalization/foil, spot-check names against your list.

Confirm any inserts or extras are included.

  • Store safely

Place books in a clean, dry area; avoid heat and moisture until distribution.

  • Report problems immediately

Contact your Account Manager/Support with:

Order number, school name, description of the issue, quantities affected, and photos.

Hold distribution of affected copies until you hear back.

  • Prepare for handout

Once everything looks good, organize by class/teacher, print sign-out sheets, and plan distribution.

Tip: The sooner you check, the faster we can help resolve anything before you start handing books out.
