Can I reuse an ad from last year?
Table of Contents
The simple answer is no, ads from previous yearbook projects are generally not accessible or reusable by individual LINK users.
While you can't access the ad yourself, the school or organization can access the source material. Contacting the school's yearbook advisor or staff directly is your best approach for retrieving a copy.
💡 Saving Your Current Ad for Future Reuse
We recommend you save a copy of your current ad for future reference. You have two options for obtaining a file:
Option 1: Request or Download a High-Quality PDF
The best way to get a quality reference file is through the staff's administrative access.
- General Users: Coordinate and request with the school or organization’s yearbook advisor to generate a PDF copy of your ad.
-
Staff/Advisors (with Manage Ad Sales Access): You can download the high-resolution PDF directly:
- Go to Manage Ad Sales.
- Under the Place In Book section, click the blue Download Ads button.
- Select the Ad you wish to download and click Generate. Wait for the process to complete.
- Click the Download button that appears to view the PDF in a new window, then use the browser's download icon to save it to your computer.
Option 2: Save the Low-Resolution Ad Preview
You can easily save the low-resolution ad preview displayed on the confirmation screen for immediate personal reference:
-
Go to Confirmation Screen: Access the confirmation screen in one of two ways:
- From the Ad Designer, click Continue & Review.
- From the My Started Designs list, click the Purchase button next to your ad.
- Open Image: When the ad preview appears on the confirmation screen, Right-Click on the image and select "Open Image in New Tab."
- Save File: In the new tab, Right-Click on the large preview image again and click "Save Image As."
- Complete: Choose a location, update the file name (e.g., "YearbookAd2025"), and click Save to store it on your computer.
⚠️ Please Note: The image saved using this method is a low-resolution preview intended for screen viewing and reference only. It is not recommended to be used for printing or submitted as an ad in the future, as it will not meet the high-resolution requirements for the final yearbook production.
In summary, always assume you will need to start fresh, but getting a copy of your ad (either a PDF from the staff or a preview image) will give you a great reference for future designs.
