Overview

The ruler in the EDO Next Designer helps you measure and align elements with precision. It appears along the top and left edges of the workspace and is especially useful for ensuring consistent spacing, margins, and layout accuracy.

How to Enable the Ruler

  • Open your page in the EDO Next Designer.
  • At the top toolbar, click View.
  • Select Ruler from the dropdown menu.
  • The ruler will appear immediately on the top and left sides of the design area.

What You Can Do With the Ruler

  • Measure distances across your page
  • Check alignment of photos, shapes, and text
  • Verify margins and spacing

Tips for Best Use

  • Combine the ruler with grid lines or snap-to-grid for even more precise alignment.
  • Use guide lines when building templates to keep your layouts consistent throughout the book.
