Hello Caitlin,
So unfortunately only one person can work on a page at a time. If you are being locked out of a page because it is saying someone else is on it, you can go to the MANAGE tab, and click on MANAGE PAGE LOCKS, and remove the page lock, but keep in mind only an admin user can do this.
in reply to: Unlock a pageHi,
You can actually add a basic color background by placing one of our shapes on the page and filling it with any color using our fill tool. Then, just simply drag the corners of the shape out so that it expands to be the size of the page. For more information on how to use shapes, you can copy and paste this link:

in reply to: Solid color for backgroundHello,
Inside the cover designer, add a new text box from the left insert menu items. Then Type in the text box your spine text. When the text box is selected there will be a blue circle handle sticking out from the right hand side of the selected box. Use this handle to rotate the text box (HINT:if you hold shift while you rotate the box will snap to 30 degree rotations).
Rotate the box 90 degrees clockwise, to ensure sure spine text is the correct direction.in reply to: Spine of YearbookHello,
The previews on the ladder and the designer are Jpegs which can sometimes appear a little blurry. As long as you are not getting a warning on your images in the designer they will print out clearly.
The best way to double check and see your pages clearly is to order a proof book. This is a printed bound copy of your yearbook sent to you.
Hope this helps, Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks.in reply to: Blurry Text, Photos and BackgroundHello Amanda,
The best way to get a design from canva into EDOnline is to output the design in Canva as a PDF. Then you will be able to upload the PDF to Mange Uploads and place it in the designer.
Here’s a help page that explains how to upload other file types like external PDFsThanks!
in reply to: Canva InsertHi Adena,
The reason you are most likely not seeing the move pages button is because your username and password is not in admin status. Only people who have admin status in their account can move pages. If you believe this is a mistake, please feel free to call our tech support number (888-926-6571 ext 2) and have them update that for you.
As for alignment, there are grids and guidelines you would find in most other software under the View tab in the designer. In this article: https://help.entourageyearbooks.com/knowledge-base/edo-9-0-quick-start-guide/
We go over what each dropdown does. Also in the top toolbar, there is an “align” button, which if you click while multiple frames are selected, will align your frames by the top, bottom, left or right
Hope this helps Adene!
in reply to: Moving Pages and Aligning Text/ImagesHello Nicole,
You can view uploaded photos by logging into your edo account and clicking on Manage Photos.
If you are in link.entourageyearbooks.com, you can login and click on “View Account” then “Uploaded photos”.
Depending on permission settings, you will see photos only you uploaded or photos uploaded by all users. Thanks
in reply to: How to view PhotosHello Alicia,
Entourage does have a similar tool. We call it “photo tagging”. If you upload your people page data, the students names will all be listed. Then when your in Manage Photos (or the designer) and click on info on a specific photo, you can tag the students in the photo, once you start typing their name it will auto generate the names from your index file.
Then once the photos are tagged go to Design > Create Directory.
This will show you a chart of tagged photos versus students. If you click on the numbers you will get a list of all the students tagged and placed and what pages they are placed on.in reply to: Yearbook CoverageHello Lindsay.
Yes, EDOnline doe shave grouping. First you have to select the elements you want to group together. You can either click on one object at a time while holding the shift button on your keyboard, or right click on the page and use the multi select cursor (arrow with a * next to it) to click and drag to select multi elements together.
Once the elements are selected, right click again and click “group”. This will group the selected elements together.

Yes, you can save a page as a template, and place it on another page. If you click on the arrow drop down next to the save button. There is an option to “Save as Template”. You can choose to save the spread or a single page. Then once you save the page, the template will be available under Templates > “Custom Templates”.
Here is a help page that will review this more in depth.Saving a Page as a Template, Accessing Last Years Pages & Templates
in reply to: Duplicate A PageHello Karen.
I am sorry to hear your students are getting a grey screen. Is this when they are inside the EDOnline designer? Can they still see the tools around the outside of the page?
This could either mean the designer is being blocked by a school firewall?
refer: https://help.entourageyearbooks.com/knowledge-base/troubleshooting-basics/or the pages are locked and in use by another user.
Please contact the tech support team at 888-926-6571 ext 2
or live chat in the bottom right of the designer menu. We will be happy to help you get to the bottom of this.in reply to: grey screenHello Karen,
The best way to get your cover dimensions is from the Manage Ladder page. Right next to the preview of your cover in the cover details box is the height and width dimensions. If you want to make two separate files for the front and back cover you can make them 8.5in by 11in then use the EDOnline cover designer, place the two images and add a solid color background for the bleed and spine.in reply to: Photoshop guidelinesHello Renee,

To copy and paste text from a word doc, first add a text box to your page in the designer. Then highlight the text from your word doc, use the keyboard shortcut keys crl+c to copy the text. Next, in EDOnline double click into the text paste and use the past short cut keys crl+v. The text will automatically paste into the text box.in reply to: Paste Text
